Job Description:

•       Pega Lead System Architect LSA is responsible for architecting and 
designing business applications using Pega PRPC and other Pega frameworks. 
Provides architecture and design guidance to project teams developing 
BPM/BRE solutions using Pega.

•       Provide thought-leadership to client across business and technical 
project dimensions solving complex business requirements

•       Develops and demonstrates an advanced knowledge of the PRPC 
Architecture and all PRPC design and implementation features

•       Works in conjunction with Program Manager to size, manage scope and 
risk

•       Accountable for ensuring the business and technical architecture of 
the delivered solution matches customer technical and functional 
requirements, and commits to Customer Success (realization of business 
benefit)

•       Participates in the development of additional consulting 
opportunities within the customer base.

 

Required experience / skills:

•       10+ years of IT experience with n-tier, database and client server 
design/development

•       6+ years’ experience in design and implementation of PRPC-based 
solutions, including leadership role in design to develop shared/reusable 
enterprise rules and workflow components within Pega Process Rules 
Commander.

•       4+ years’ experience with PRPC v5.x (preferably V5.3 or above) with 
experience in new Pega capabilities

•       Experience on Pega CPM, Smart Investigate frameworks preferred

•       Strong experience scoping, planning and delivering projects using 
iterative software development lifecycles over multiple release cycles

•       Previous experience as a lead architect on multiple large-scale 
product or enterprise designs

•       Expertise and good understanding of Relational Database Management 
Systems including architecting and designing for performance and 
scalability and working with Object to Relational Mapping schemes for 
distributed data access

•       Solid fundamentals in Core Java & Object Oriented concepts

•       Experience in Web technologies including Servlets, JSP, and XML. 
Should have hands on experience in developing web applications.

•       Excellent skills in any of the RDBMS tools like Oracle, MSSQL, DB2 
or Sybase. Should be proficient in SQL commands

•       Experience in client side technologies like HTML, Java Script, CSS

•       Experience working with any of the Servlet containers or Enterprise 
containers like Jakarta tomcat, BEA Web logic, IBM WebSphere JBOSS. Should 
have knowledge in using any of the mentioned servers like deployment, 
configuring & troubleshooting

•       Knowledge in web services, JMS, Middleware tools (like Web Methods, 
Vitria), Web frameworks (like Struts, spring), Design Patterns (like MVC I, 
MVC II etc).

•       Knowledge of components for enterprise architecture like enterprise 
beans is a plus

The Quality Assurance Specialist (QA Specialist) will be responsible for 
working to oversee the planning, developing, testing, and evaluation of 
software applications and systems for reliable functionality. This includes 
close collaboration with the functional teams and business program manager 
to develop thorough technical test strategies and create detailed test 
plans. This individual will initiate tests on software applications, 
analyze the results, and troubleshoot issues prior to being released in 
production. The QA Specialist will work closely with the Functional teams 
and Business Program manager towards key project decision such as 
methodology recommendations, process changes, and deliverable changes such 
as the master test plan test strategy, and risk management.

Responsibilities:

•              Support continuous improvement of testing processes and 
protocols.

•              Create test documents, procedures, and processes with an 
emphasis on immediate results.

•              Provide key progress information to the stakeholders and 
address risks and challenges.

•              Provide approval / clearances as required by the Project 
Test Manager for the infrastructure, test data, and any other system 
specific needs.

•              Design and execute test plans on applications in addition to 
recording and documenting results for comparison to the expected results.

•              Detect software failures so that defects may be discovered 
and corrected while generating historical analysis of test results.

•              Document anomalies and issues; maintaining database of 
software defects; examining code and execution of code I various 
environments; verifying specific action or function of code.

•              Operate and maintain test networks.

•              Develop and document application test plans based on 
software requirements and technical specifications.

•              Provide application instructions for users and create 
meaningful error handling procedures for application code.

•              Ensure compliance with general UI/UX best practices, 
accepted web standards, and those standards set forth by upstream sources.

•              Perform application security audits; implementing 
application designs, creating queries, scripts, web pages, and other 
deliverables.

•              Participate in application planning meetings, ensuring data 
integrity standards; performing reviews walkthroughs, or inspections.

•              Independently and appropriately approaches project 
management and/or IT supervision with noted issues.

Required Knowledge, Experience & Characteristics:

•              Associates Degree (or higher) in Information Technology or a 
technical field of study, or equivalent relevant experience.

•              5+ years of experience in a QA capacity; knowledge of 
various manual and automated testing related tools, scripting languages, 
and testing packages.

•              Strong customer service orientation and excellent 
interpersonal skills.

•              Demonstrated technical aptitude, strong verbal and written 
communication skills with the ability to translate and relate highly 
technical terms and concepts in a business environment.

•              High level project management skills. Positive attitude and 
willingness to learn, ability to embrace working in a rapidly changing 
technological environment.

Preferred Skills:

•              Experience working in the Utility industry.

•              Experience with Quality Assurance testing of SAP, Customer 
Information System (CIS), Geographic Information System (GIS), Enterprise 
Service Bus (ESB), Common Information Model (CIM), MultiSpeak, and 
Interactive Voice Response (IVR).
