*Position: VMware Cloud Engineer*

*Duties and responsibilities:*
The VMWare Engineer will be responsible for providing professional and 
effective technical services to the client organization. The selected 
candidate will work independently on multiple concurrent tasks in a highly 
dynamic environment with strong customer service skills, teaming skills and 
the ability to collaborate within a cross functional team. The candidate 
will be able to assess Vmware environments, identify remediation issues, 
and support migrations from older clusters running ESXi 5.0 to newer 
clusters ESXi 6.0. Ability to troubleshoot UCS is desirable. Added value if 
the candidate has worked on data center migrations moving workload from one 
data center to another. 

*Required qualifications:*
The selected candidate will have: 
• System engineering and administration experience in Windows environment 
with substantial knowledge of the windows server 2008 through 2012R2. 
• Strong working knowledge of Windows Image creation, hardening, 
troubleshooting performance and stability issues. 
• Experience with CISCO UCS , Storage technologies is preferable. 
• Strong working knowledge for PowerShell, Installing windows images, COTs 
product, troubleshooting windows server. 
• Experience with migrating Windows VMs using VMware convertor or 
PlateSpin. 

*Skillset:*
• Must have 4+ years of experience and hands on experience working with 
large scale ESXi hypervisor in the VMware and Windows Server environments. 
• System engineering and administration experience in Windows environment 
with substantial knowledge of the Windows server 2008 through 2012R2. 
• Strong working knowledge of Windows Image creation, hardening, 
troubleshooting performance and stability issues. • Experience with CISCO 
UCS , Storage technologies is preferable.

• Experience with migrating Windows VMs using VMware convertor or

*Specific skills include:*
• Install, configure and maintain VMware vSphere ESXi 6.5 hypervisor and 
vSphere components including HA, DRS and SDRS. 
• Perform daily VMware and server administration, maintenance and upgrades 
including service packs, patches, hot fixes and security configurations. 
• Utilize Site Recovery Manager (SRM) for disaster recovery failover. 
• Manage vCenter Server inventory, objects, and licenses. 
• Handle configuration and troubleshooting of networking (vSwitch, 
PortGroups, vNetwork) 
• Configure Cluster Distributed Resource Scheduler and High Availability. 
• Create and manage VMFS and NFS Datastores. 

*EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS* 
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
