· The candidate will be responsible for developing embedded
firmware for the Nokia radio platform.
· Candidate will be involved in prototyping, definition and
analysis of requirements, high level design, low level design, modeling,
unit testing and integration testing.
· Excellent debugging skills to support the system verification and
defect repair activities post completion of software development activities.
· Identifying system and feature requirements
· Reverse engineering of existing functionality (in preparation for
modification of existing applications)
· High/Low level design of new applications and/or features
· Implementation in C and/or C++
· Participate in peer review of documentation, design and code
· Updating existing test environment as needed to incorporate new
functionality
· Provide support for high level integration test activities.
· Candidate should have good written and oral communications
skills, good organization and process skills, the ability to disseminate
technical detail provided in requirements/design documents, and the ability
to work in a fast-paced development environment (knowledge of Agile/Scrum
development methodology a plus).
*Roles & Responsibilities*
· Proficient in C with some experience in C++
· Experience in HW/SW integration with understanding of platform
(processor, board design) details.
· Experience with multi-layer protocols
· Experience with the SVN, Git, Jira, Pronto.
· Background in Telecommunications related applications (desired
but not required)
· Strong knowledge in real time operating systems
Knowledge of Agile/Scrum development lifecycles and tools
· Excellent problem solving and debugging skills.
· Knowledge of typical CPU(x86,ARM, TI DSP) architectures and tool
chain
· Experience (5+ years) with real-time, embedded SW applications
· Experience (5+ years) with multi-task environments and Real Time
OS
· Experience (5+ years) with multi-core processors (desirable but
not required).

Bachelor / Master’s in engineering from reputed institute with Design,
development and testing experience in embedded software applications
