*Job Description*
In the Software Engineer role, you will be a core member of the front-end
web team. You will design, build, and monitor web applications that serve
core business processes. You will work closely with both internal and
external stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into
world-class software with the latest technologies.
A day in the life…
Interface with end-user feedback, Product, and UX to gather, understand,
and translate requirements into the Agile delivery process
Work closely with product owners, designers, other developers, architects,
and automation engineers to deliver innovative solutions that solve complex
healthcare problems
Mentor other developers by providing helpful Code Reviews, guiding the
design process, and being a role model of technical excellence
Technically lead the design and delivery of complex solutions end to end
Collaboratively manage individual sprint priorities, deadlines, and
deliverables with cross-team dependencies
Build a fast, usable, and heavily data-driven UI on top of a maturing
platform of FHIR-compliant services
Ensure that we are continuously raising our standard of data engineering
excellence by implementing best practices for coding, testing and deploying
Proactively seek to improve engineering principles, processes, tools, and
frameworks used by your team and teams around you
Use your experience to provide actionable and effective feedback to the
entire development and Agile process
*Qualifications*
Software development experience
Experience leading the delivery of front-end systems
*Strong knowledge of JavaScript, DOM, and React+Redux patterns Experience
with Node server frameworks, preferably Koa or Express Proficiency with
Amazon Web Services, particularly S3, EC2, Dynamo*
BS or MS in Computer Science/Engineering or engineering specific
certifications or equivalent degree experience Ability to collaborate with
dependent teams, focusing on communication and accountability to deliver
system-level solutions
Comfortable working on a high-visibility, high-impact projects
Expert competence in one or more front-end frameworks (React & Redux
preferred)
Comfortable with continuous delivery concepts, feature flagging, and
automation
Experience building and working in an agile, collaborative, innovative,
flexible, and team-oriented environment
