*Technical/Functional Skills*
System Engineer involving requirements, design, implementation and testing
of locomotive /Automotive domains
· Experience in System requirement study and preparing spec
· Experience in System validation plan and testing on Locomotives.
· Familiarity with configuration management tool (DOORS),
Verification and validation.
· Familiar with safety guidelines, Railroad standards

6 years
*Roles & Responsibilities*
· Responsible for System Engineering activities for Locomotives.
· Should be responsible for developing System Functional
specification (SFS), Creating System Validation plan(SVP) and executing SVP
for each quarterly release.
· Should be responsible for SFS creation through SVP development,
Config File creation, and execution of SVP.
· Should be able to coordinate with design engineers from
throughout.
· Able to work across different cross functional teams
*Generic Managerial Skills*
· Strong Verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
· Familiar with GE Transportation system Engineering process
· Experience in System engineering, system test plan and Validation
· Knowledge in Quality methodologies, tools and processes
· Strong team player and able to influence while working in a
matrix environment
· Experience in DOORS , verification & Validation
· Demonstrated commitment to process improvement
· Customer-focused in defining quality and establishing priorities
·
*Education*
Bachelor’s Degree in computers/Electrical /Electronic or in “STEM” Majors
(Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) from an accredited college or
university.
