The Hiring Manager is requiring a senior level consultant with strong
background in Cobol / CICS / Web Services. This will mainly be a REMOTE
role but the consultant will be required to work onsite in Las Vegas
approximately 4 days (one week) each month.
Please note the following required background:
- COBOL / CICS / Web services
- Compuware Products Abend-Aid, Xpediter, File-Aid
- PGP Encryption this is used for data at rest. Client uses the
Megacryption Product.
- File Transfer Client transfers Financial as well other CSS information
via two z/OS Unix Systems Services utility called FTP and SFTP.
- FTP is the old File Transfer Protocol which is a Protocol and a
Utility, that is being deprecated industry wide
- SFTP Secure File Transfer Protocol is the new version of it. Client
has most of their file transfers done via SFTP
- SFTP uses SSH/SSL (RSA/DSA) keys during the Authentication Process
instead of Passwords. Can still use Passwords, but keys are preferred
- Host System Files meaning Unix System Services Files. Will need to
have knowledge of how the z/OS Unix Systems Services works & how to
maintain files within it
