JOB DESCRIPTION: We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer with Java development background to join our Mobile Team. The Java developer will be responsible for performing all tasks required to develop and support these applications. These tasks include but are not limited to: attending requirements gathering sessions, developing design documents, developing, testing and supporting the system. Job Title: Windows DevOps with Microsoft SQL Server Job Location: Philadelphia, PA Duration: 12+ months JOB DESCRIPTION: Windows DevOps with Microsoft SQL Server supports the Systems/Databases hybrid cloud infrastructure and its applications. The team remediates issues, coordinates escalations, provides customer service, and performs all DevOps activities of hybrid cloud resources. ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Support the duties of the DevOps team; work with the team leads to execute & enhance DevOps SOP's. Manage, coordinate, track, report, process and work tickets daily and across shifts. Manage, coordinate, implement and remediate security compliance & vulnerabilities. Provide database diagnoses to remediate issues while engaging other teams as needed. Provide OS & database resource system monitoring & remediation support. Provide OS & database system access management support. Perform OS & database capacity planning including allocating and planning future storage requirements. Support and coordinate the implementation of database products (MSSQL, MongoDB, Oracle, MySQL/PostgreSQL) on a variety of platforms (VMware 6.x, Oracle Exadata, Amazon EC2, Amazon RDS). Provide Tier 3 troubleshooting and escalation support for database systems. In partnership with engineering, develop strategies and implement solutions for managing database back-ups, restoration and replication. Develop/review SOP's and other documentation for use within the operations team. Perform tasks based on SOP's to perform system and application changes as required. Increase day-to-day operational efficiency and accuracy via the use of automated tools and scripts. Work with infrastructure and monitoring teams to ensure that the Sitecore environment remains healthy, appropriate monitoring is in place, and the environment is sized to meet business requirements. Development and maintenance of code supporting the Web Experience Management Platform Drive configuration management and automated build processes forward to ensure controlled and successful migrations between environments Troubleshoot and resolve issues with the environments as necessary Participate in disaster recovery planning and drills Provide 24x7 "on call” support Work with vendors to configure and install products. Support and maintain vendor packages in production, performing and testing application changes as necessary. Prepare changes for production implementation and develop contingency plans. Perform other related tasks and assignments as required REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field Strong working knowledge PowerShell scripting Demonstrated experience working within a CI/CD software development pipeline. Solid understanding of the full web technology stack - front end, back end, data access layers. Extensive Ansible or a similar configuration management experience. Knowledge of integration with MS SQL SSAS, SSRS. Previous experience in a DevOps environment Ability to work with development teams and help them understand the benefit of using the DevOps Pipeline Should have Very good experience in Apache SOLR Should have strong experience in enterprise search domain and search architecture Strong experience in Design, build, deploy, Search application and Services.
