Job details mentioned below: Position: Maximo/Websphere Administrator Location: Baltimore, MD 21224 Duration: 2+ years Client: Direct Client The Maximo/Websphere Administrator and Expert responsibilities are: * Support of any of the following projects or related interfaces: MDTA's Maximo 7.6+ New Releases, Dynamics SL 2018 Interfaces, Purchasing Card System Replacement, and potential GIS Interface with Asset Management. * Performs WebSphere Application Server 7.6+ administration in IBM Maximo application systems in a high availability environment. * Functions covers WebSphere Application Server system installation, configuration, deployment, administration, tuning, and production support. * Setup load balancing, clustering, and failover. * Assist Maximo 7.6+ project teams and administrators. * Develop support documentation and train team members. * Implements, operates and maintains MdTA Maximo 7.6+ application system (Maximo v7 Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) modules) * Works with Maximo applications associated with EAM Asset Management, Work Management, Contract Management, Inventory Management, and Procurement Management * Designs, documents, develops, implements, and supports integrations between Maximo and various systems as the need is determined by MDTA including but not limited to Microsoft Dynamics SL financial accounting system * Incorporates best practices to analyze, design and configure Maximo * Ensures that the application meets the needs of Maximo application users including activities such as user provisioning and maintenance of high-level master data such as domain values, security-group authorizations, and classifications * Consults with internal IT resources, vendor and system users to identify issues, gathers requirements, and develop solutions * Provides recommendations and guidance for software maintenance patching and version upgrades * Coordinates system users' possible downtime to appty Maximo patches * Analyzes and supports Maximo promotion of configuration changes * Assists in adding, modifying and granting access to Maximo system * Monitors application activities * Supports all Maximo environments, including testing, development, pre-prod, training and production * Works with SQL, PL/SQL, and script development * Assists with documenting report specifications, develops reports utilizing Business Intelligence and Reporting Tools (BERT) and Crystal, performs testing, and publishing reports * Develops all necessary training documentation such as training plans, training schedules, course outlines, work instructions and reference guides and conduct training. * Archives and restores data. * Knowledge of Maximo database configuration * Knowledge of Maximo application server configuration * Knowledge of WebSphere portal server * Knowledge of file systems * Knowledge of virtual servers and virtual hosts Preferred Experiences: Resources shall have the overall knowledge to oversee, administer, and support all facets of the Maximo 7.6+ application administration, configuration and maintenance including: * Writing reports utilizing BIRT or IBM's current report development tool. * Migrating data into Maximo utilizing the Maximo Integration Framework (MIF) (or IBM's current migration utility) and validating work from Maximo's front-end * Maximo Asset Management deployment and configuration * Update and build and deploy application Enterprise Archive (EAR) files * Have an overall understanding and experience doing project management, including all software development life cycle phases. * Have experience with and complete understating of database architecture required to support all aspects of the Maximo 7.6+ systems. * Communicating effectively, verbally and in writing, and establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with system users, vendors, computer operations personnel, programmer analysts and technical support specialists. * Ascertain and document implications relating to release packaging and scheduling with the most current release and master installation notes to include walkthroughs upon requests. * Ability to diagnose and successfully resolve Maximo 7.6+ system errors, software malfunctions, or anomalies that are incurred in the daily operation of the system.
