*JOB DESCRIPTION:*
- Access control management
- Provide access to Storage devices
- RBAC configuration
- NFS /Filesystems
- Manage NFS exports directory along with security permissions.
- Perform creation /modification and deletion of NFS exports as per
requirements.
- Add/Removal luns/Hosts
- Reallocation of volumes with-in the same array to be removed from
the hosts.
- Perform removal and deletion of Un-mounted luns from hosts as per
request.
- Reclaim deleted luns and return the space to global storage pool
- Register/modify new and old host in the Storage system as per
requirement
- SAN Fabric Management
- SAN Switch administration
- Firmware Upgrade
- Working with Zones, Trunking
- IP Management
- Configure IP address
- Storage Ethernet Port Configuration and IP address allocation
- Tools mgmt and Replication
- Configure and manage Storage/Volume based on QoS.
- Configure and manage storage management tools ( SRM, CMCNE,Insight
IQ etc)
- Perform and manage the tools on devices for creation of replica
copy. E.g Raid manager, RSM etc
- Create /Manage and Modify the scripts used for creating replica
copy. E.g HORCM,RSM scripts etc
- Perform Reverse resycning of remote replication based on request
- Reporting
- Capture Storage Host port statistics performance.
- Capture Virtual Disk/Lun & physical performance.
- Capture Storage Host Connection/Host performance.
- Capture Array Status performance includes IOPS, response
time/Latency etc.
- Capture Controller Status performance.
- Capture Cache/memory performance.
- Capture Switch/Port/link Status performance.
- Collect the storage capacity space information and maintain reports
on schedule basis.
- Capture & document master matrix of the storage & SAN environment
(San Diagram, Maintenance support info, Device list, TB Supported etc)
- General Administration

- Reporting and Monitoring
- Proactively monitor the backup health checks.
- Proactively monitor the backup images stored on backup servers.
- Calculate the backup success rate / failure rate and report to
Management
- Based on the backup failure reporting generate a list of failures
that need to be converted as tickets
- Check services of Backup application
- Check Backup servers errors for last 24 hours
- Initiate and Monitor the restore
- Monitor the tape drive, vtl, server usage and share the utilization
reports.
- Tape Management
- Mange the physical Offsite data and tape management status
- Validate Tape inventory and manager expired tape
- Perform the monitoring on expired tapes for reclaiming purpose and
data retention
- Backup Commission & Decommission Nodes
- Manage new server backup configuration
- Manager Server Decommission
- Test Restoration of Data, VM and Database
- Firmware /Device and Backup upgrade
- Manage Firmware upgrade for Tape Library
- Manager Firmware Upgrade for backup servers
- Backup Administration
- Backup License Management and configuration
- Check Backup Configuration for NDMP/NAS/Cluster
- Perform, re-trigger, failed, hung and long running backups for
successful restoration.
- Creating and updating Backup Policies/schedules.
- Coordinate & follow up with Proximity Support for library errors
- Vendor Management
- Administrator and manage the Backup server issues
- Backup Failure troubleshooting
- Support for DR and BCP
- DB Backup and Restoration
- File Leval backup configuration
- General Administration
- IPC Process
- Monitoring, vendor Management
- Troubleshooting and documentation
