We are a working group made up of members of the IPFS community (
https://ipfs.io ) that are working on content encryption. As a lot of the IPFS
ecosystem already uses CBOR we are considering COSE as the basis for our new
specification.
Especially the detached Payload feature is of interest to us, we need to
communicate the location (or ”way of accessing”) in the message, however, and
would like to register a header for this purpose.
I have a few questions regarding this:
1.
How does the registration process look like? What do you need me/us to provide
to you to get this going?
2.
As there is no ”official” header for this purpose, would it be better to
specify a more general header for everyone to use in this case?
We are unsure about names at the moment, ”content-location” and ”old-content”
are possible names. This depends on 2. though.
