good draft. I have no use cases off my head, but a gut feeling it can be
useful in a few places, and see no issues with this.

Hi authors,

I found a family of nits that could just as well be a pull request:

* Unlike the later URI examples where it does matter, the CBOR
  diagnostic notation is space insensitive, so the "with line-breaks
  inserted for {editorial reasons,better readability}" notes on
  diagnostic CBOR are not needed.
* Probably they are not needed on the hex either -- it's not like
  there is a formal spec that this is following, and I think that it's
  trivially understood visually that there are no semantic line breaks
  here.
* The 3rd paragraph before section 6 has the note but no line break.
