Hi Anders,

Thank you for reaching out! As far as I understand, you would like to present an
updated version of https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/draft-rundgren-universal-cbor/
<https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/draft-rundgren-universal-cbor/>.
Unfortunately our agenda is currently full and I see that you have already started a
discussion on the mailing list, which is both great and probably your best way to get
feedback at present.

From my quick look, your document seems to be more inline about CBOR, so have
you tried to ask for agenda time for that WG meeting?

Hi Ivaylo,
I haven't considered the CBOR WG because this project more less stands (or
falls...) with the support for signing non-wrapped CBOR data which could have
pretty far-fetching consequences for future COSE-related standards.

FWIW, I'm not alone pushing the combination of deterministic encoding and
non-wrapped CBOR for cryptographic constructs:
https://mailarchive.ietf.org/arch/msg/spice/lvP3x9S4H3xKCrkAzUY4_f3PM-E/

Depending on feedback, I will consider IETF 123 as a possible event.

Cheers,
Anders

Cheers,

I guess I missed the dead-line.  If you have any time over, maybe a comment or two on
the "editor's copy" of

https://cyberphone.github.io/doc/research/draft-rundgren-universal-cbor.html#name-enveloped-signatures

<https://cyberphone.github.io/doc/research/draft-rundgren-universal-cbor.html#name-enveloped-signatures>
    could be useful?

In addition to taking CBOR to places it has currently not reached (in any
significant way), the draft presents an alternative to a core method of COSE
(and CWT).

    Thanx,
    Anders
