Chairs,

I would like a short time to get feedback about registering CMAC algorithms for
COSE.

Name: Brian Sipos

Topic: AES-CMAC for COSE

Drafts: https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/draft-sipos-cose-cmac/

Requested time: 5 minutes

I know that COSE algorithm registrations do not need (by IANA process) to be
reviewed through the COSE WG, but that seems to be the most straightforward
path for this kind of simple registration. If there are any comments or
feedback before the IETF about other, preferred paths to registration let me
know. I have seen in the past some algo registrations come from even CFRG, but
this doesn’t seem like a fit for that path because this is not any new or novel
algorithm; it’s just registering code points and pointing to NIST docs.

Brian S.
