Hello David, In Section 9.19 of the Internet Draft (version -16), the placeholder TBD14 is used for the "Value" column. I suppose that the authors simply used TBD placeholders incrementally through the document, with no actual preference or suggestion for 14.
So I would suggest that this entry is registered with 3 in the "Value" column, i.e., the first unassigned positive value in the range -24 to 23. With that in mind, I approve this registration request. I take the opportunity to make two editorial comments about the text in Section 9.19: * It says: > This document registers the following entry in the "EDHOC Authentication Credential Types" registry under the "Ephemeral Diffie-Hellman Over COSE (EDHOC)" heading. In the interest of using consistent terminology, I suggest to update the first sentence as follows: OLD under the "Ephemeral Diffie-Hellman Over COSE (EDHOC)" heading. NEW within the "Ephemeral Diffie-Hellman Over COSE (EDHOC)" registry group. * It says: > This is used to identify supported authentication credential type, for example, during discovery of EDHOC resources, see [RFC9668]. This might very well hold for every entry added to this registry. I would suggest to either remove the sentence or to rephrase it to be more specific about C509 certificates and the registry entry in question, e.g.: > This is useful to identify C509 certificates as a supported authentication credential type to use with EDHOC [RFC9528], for example during discovery of EDHOC resources, see [RFC9668].
