Dear COSE WG Chairs and all, Following the discussion at IETF 125, the authors of the individual JOSE and COSE drafts covering PQ and PQ/T HPKE algorithms met to align on a path forward.
The JOSE/COSE split is resolved: https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/draft-reddy-cose-hpke-pq-pqt/ continues as a COSE-only document (JOSE portions removed), with Filip joining as co-author, while the JOSE work continues separately in draft-skokan-jose-hpke-pq-pqt. draft-reddy-cose-hpke-pq-pqt incorporates WG feedback: algorithm identifier alignment with JOSE (with intentional gaps), terminology aligned with RFC 9794 , and addition of ML-KEM-512 ciphersuites. With the JOSE/COSE split resolved and IETF 125 feedback addressed, we would like to request a call for WG adoption.
