On closer inspection I think I was wrong and they might be all Firefox 3.6 on 
Windows:

"Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.0; en-GB; rv:1.9.2) Gecko/20100115 
Firefox/3.6 (.NET CLR 3.5.30729)"

though it is a little difficult to marry up the error_log and access_log. There 
is no pattern in the IP address.
