Hi Maisie,

I'm glad the link I sent helped you out.
I've responded to you via our list, so that other people can see your comments (below).

Maybe try the search site utility - you might be surprised at information that might be hidden in the many pages.... Search is located at
http://cotyroneireland.com/searchpage.html

If you want to send replies to the list please select 'reply to list' or something similar in your email program.

I'm on vacation until mid April, when I get home, I'll try to check my records, see if I have anything.

Thank you
Tammy

THANK YOU, Tammy.  This is as close as I have reached in confirming  a Skiffington in Donaghmore, who may or may not be connected with my husband’s great-grandfather Patrick Skiffington, born 1812-15 about.  The spelling  Skeffington is a little different, but not unusual for that time.

Next most important question:  Do you have any suggestions for finding the ‘tree’ of both B (perhaps Bernard) and John Skeffington.  I have information on a Bernard Skiffington (sp.) who went to Lanark, Scotland with his wife and a son, and thereafter added to his family, some of whom, I believe, went to America, but I can find no connection with Patrick Skiffington, unless this Bernard was (most likely) related in some way.

This is heartening!
