Hello Boyd I love some of these old manuscripts and bios. of Co. Tyrone people. Indeed, some researchers are very fortunate to find one written on their ancestors.!
Especially the ones that are compiled before 1922. A few authors actually had research done at Dublin and include, in their book, their discoveries. I was thrilled to discover years ago, the 'LOVE Family History' by Rev. William DeLoss Love Jr. PhD 1851-1918. In this, there are references to wills, an Administration bond, and inventories, which no longer exist. Such precious documents to have been copied! When I read the piece on Robert Finley, my thought was that as he was a soldier, it would have been very possible for him to meet Susanna Patterson. Throughout Strabane's history there have been garrisons stationed there. I know of a Robert LOVE who was stationed at Strabane in June of 1818, yet he was born in Aryshire. (so not one of mine) the best to you all~ Teena _______________________________________________ CoTyroneList mailing list [email protected] http://lists.cotyroneireland.com/mailman/listinfo/cotyronelist
