After many years of trying to pin my Matthews/McCall family down to something more precise than "Ireland" I've found the baptism of a daughter who must have died young: Baptised at Eglish RC - 3 Nov 1863 Sarah Ann Matthews to Patrick Matthews and Eliza McCaul of Granville
I gather Eglish is in Armagh and Granville in Tyrone. Patrick and Eliza were in England by 1870 and Patrick was killed the year after. They had a son James Matthews born "Ireland" about 1863. The parents appear to have been born: Patrick C1831 and Eliza McCall C1840 dau of John McCall and Elizabeth Smith but I can't get any further with any of this.
