MARRIAGES:
McFARLANE- FINLEY: [Golden Wedding] – On the 1st March 1866, by the Rev. A.
Lyle, Ardstraw, Co. Tyrone, Ireland, G. McFARLANE, to MARY FINLEY, of
Cincinatti, America, daughter of WILLIAM FINLEY, Co. Tyrone, Ireland. Present
address, Longwarry, Gippsland, Victoria

1ST ARDSTRAW PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH, Ardstraw Village, Co. Tyrone
Marriages: #24 - March 1 1866
GALBRAITH McFARLAND full age, bachelor, farmer, Aughasessy. Father: WILLIAM
McFARLAND, farmer
&
MARY FINLAY 20 years, spinster, Magheracoltan. Father: WILLIAM FINLAY, farmer
Witnesses: WILLIAM CLARKE & JOHN MAXWELL

Of considerable interest is that Mary had emigrated to the U.S., but had
married upon a return home to Co. Tyrone (something not recorded on the
marriage certificate.).
Perhaps this is of some interest to a researcher?

Regards, Len Swindley, Melbourne, Australia
