Hello Karen,
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news re. your forebears, but locating records for 
them in Co. Tyrone in the timeline you quote will be almost impossible. From 
their names I suspect that they were Presbyterians; Presbyterian registers in 
Ireland do not generally commence until the late 1820s; perhaps surviving 
Church of Ireland registers may assist, but which parish?

So it is necessary to look at Canadian records; have you referred to the 1841 
and 1851 censuses? Did the Bairds and Stevensons have neighbours and possibly 
relations who were also from Tyrone? Have you referred to local records and 
ascertained if there are any published local histories? Perhaps there is a 
local historical society whose members have researched early settler families.

Researching John Stevenson 1789-1880 married to Margaret Baird in 1814 and had 
these children Samuel in 1820, Elizabeth & John 1822, James 1827 and in 1830 
emigrated to Ontario, Canada.  Looking for any records in Ireland.
