William Thompson, b ca. 1740-50, m. ca 1760-70 Co. Tyrone, Enniskillen Townland, PLU Cookston, Parish Artrea. Prob. Farmer, in Enniskillen, Townland, pos. flax. Prob. came from Scotland.
Son: John William THOMPSON, b. ca. 1770-1775 married ca 1794-5 to "E" in Tempo, Co. Fermanagh 4 children born in Co.Tyrone: William b. 1996, Matthew b. 1798, Margaret b. 1800 and John b. 1803 In 1806, John W. and wife "E" and these 4 children immigrated to USA. ************************************************ John W .THOMPSON always said he grew up in Co. Tyrone, Enniskillen. So they may have lived there only between years of 1770-1785. May have lived in other areas of N. Ireland before that. Maybe Londenderry????
