Henry Hamilton emigrated to Ohio in 1849 and became affiliated with the coal
mines of Pennsylvania and other places. In a bio about Henry, he was reportedly
born July 29, 1829 in Drumads, Co. Tyrone. His parents were not given and that
is what I would like to find out.I did find someone's tree that said his
parents were Richard Hamilton and Helen Donaldson but I am doubtful as there
are no Richards in the descendants. There is another Hamilton connection in my
tree which may or may not be connected to Henry. It is Robert Hamilton, married
to Margaret Mallon and they lived in Kilsally. Robert's daughter Alice married
Joseph Duffin in 1891 in the RC chapel in Stewartstown. Joseph's father Patrick
was a cousin to James Duffin who married Mary Caulfield in 1822 in Coalisland
and they emigrated to Ohio also,in 1850. They were also Catholic or at least
James was.Henry's firstborn son Fredrick J. Hamilton named his first son John
Caulfield Hamilton. Coincidence?I do not know the wife of Patrick Duffin or his
father or the father of James Duffin or the father of Mary Caulfield. At any
rate, right now, I am looking for the father of Henry Hamilton. Henry was
affiliated with the Disciple Church in Ohio but don't know if he was Catholic
or not when in Ireland. Thanks for any helpPeggy
