Hello all, I'm hoping that someone can help me with any source material, documentation, family stories, etc on the family of my paternal 3rd great grandfather - John Somerville.
John Somerville b. Cookstown, Co. Tyrone 1805 to parents James Somerville and Ann Patton (all I have about them is that they were born @ 1780 in Ireland) Sister Sarah Ann Somerville b. Mar 26, 1816 in Co. Tyrone. (She married William Gamble b. Mar 1815-parents unknown- also from Co. Tyrone.They moved to Canada @ 1840-41. They had 9 children all born in Leeds, Ontario, Canada) John m. Catherine Morine Cunningham (b. 1808 Co. Tyrone - no parents known) on Feb 7, 1833. Birth of son James April 28 1833 Birth of son Thomas Oct 30 1834 Birth of daughter Elizabeth Ann May 11, 1842 John and Catherine moved to Canada (Morton, Ontario) in 1842, where they had 5 more children. John d. Feb 5, 1881 and Sarah d. Feb 18, 1885 - both in Leeds, Ontario, Canada. Any help filling in the blanks would be vastly appreciated!!
