It may help you (or not) to know that the Irish name MacRory was sometimes anglicised to Rodgers/Rogers.

To All,

I hate to bother everyone on this, however I am at a standstill on my research and welcome any and all advice!  My wife and I are heading to Ireland in late August and we plan on doing some genealogy work on both her family and mine.

On my side, I believe my 2nd Great Grandfather James Rodgers emigrated with his three siblings and unfortunately, I do not know if their parents were still living and stayed in Ireland or were deceased at that time.  Here is the information I was able to find on the Barque Envoy manifest.

May 4, 1849 departed Londonderry for Philadelphia, PA, USA

Francis Rodgers age 20 ~ 1829

James Rodgers age 18 ~ 1831

Mary Rodgers age 16 ~ 1833

Eleanor Rodgers age 14 ~ 1835

It is very possible that my 3rd Great Grandfather & Grandmother had siblings that remained in Ireland and I am hoping to be able to connect when we are there in late August. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

Jim Rodgers
