Hello all, I specialize in these names from Tyrone, albeit in USA, I maintain a
database of four male lines in US, all of which are Y-DNA (Family Tree DNA)
related to the point that there may be a common DNA ancestor in Tyrone ca
1630s, I have pulled names of various Muster Rolls and Hearth Money Rolls in
that era but impossible to link, only shows that we were in the area....the
lines are - Daniel McFarland died 1738 Worcester Mass, his son James in Maine,
arr summer 1718 from Ulster, John McFarland arr Tyrone 1719 to Boothbay Maine,
Duncan McFarland/McFarlane from Weter or Wieter location is totally confused,
he came through PA and married Ann/Elizabeth Porter ( decesdants in Shenandoah
Valley), and Francis McFarland/McFarlane in PA his father James and he may have
arr early 1800s....all have a common SNP of S674, with origins in
Scotland...but are not true MacFarlanes as they are Strathclyde britons while
these McFarland/McFarlane folks are Gaels....deeper DNA analysis shows SNP
S744, members of Siol Alpin, meaning potentially decesdants of King Alpin (see
Rob Spencer's analysis in his presentation to the NY Genealogical and
Biographical Society in july 2021, "Macro Genealogy ", also available at his
site scaledinnovation.com.
