I hope for the day when something pops up that unblocks some of my walls. Meantime they are great reads and reflections of the times.. Colour expressive language, and the social customs of the day broadens the mind ! Pleased you like it and thanks for your sentiments; it is a rare day indeed that I receive a response to any of my postings. In the period prior to the introduction of civil registration, newspaper announcements of birth, deaths and marriages are important and often provide information that a registration certificate does not. I would be pleased to hear from CTI listers who find these posts interesting and useful. Should I continue? The Roman Catholic authorities refusing permission for interment, the body was thrown into the sea). Appreciate all you do! Dave
