Hello, I enjoyed this piece very much. I search for my Cookstown ancestors (and others) in spurts. My great-grandmother was from there. Last name of Mullen, but I have also seen it spelled Mullin. My uncle wanted to know what happened to his aunt. He remembers hearing his father and his brother discussing what to do with the family farm, as the aunt had been murdered in her farm house and they stood to inherit it. A newspaper article lead me to this group, a group that astonishes me with the breadth of research and dedication. The newspaper article had little information beyond a friend found her dead and a fire in the cottage and that the farm had been in the family for over 300 years.
