Hello everyone!

As we'll need to put up a static website for CouchDB on the ASF infra I've been hacking on some scripts, content, and layout to prepare for the move.

Here's what it looks like (directly out of SVN):

  <http://couchdb.googlecode.com/svn/site/htdocs/index.html>

Here's some basic info:

  <http://couchdb.googlecode.com/svn/site/README.txt>

And the whole thing can be checked out and tested here:

  <http://couchdb.googlecode.com/svn/site/>

More content needs to be added, of course. At this point I'm just interested in what people think of the overall approach (a custom Python script and Markdown/SmartyPants), the design and structure, etc. I.e. whether this stuff is okay with Apache and the CouchDB team.

Cheers,
