You will not find this published as approved data anywhere.  Early
aircraft 
didn't even have Maximum Demonstrated Crosswind Component published.
Those 
that do, it's exactly that.  Maximun demonstrated.  It is not intended to
be 
a limit for either the airframe or the pilot.  It's just greatest
componnent 
encountered during the certification testing.  I understand that there is
a 
limit above which it must be tested, related to a percentage of stall
speed, 
but that does not represent an upper limit, rather a lower limit.

Tell that to your instructor!  If he doesn't praise you for your 
intelligence, challenge him to show you in print the max. crosswind
component 
his (fill his favorite trainer here) will handle.
