Steve, regarding the oil leak: I have a similar situation on my M-10, and we have determined that the oil leak comes from the starter, at the point where the starter reaches into the engine case. According to my A&P this is a common problem on older C-90 / 0-200 engines. You may want to check your engine for this potential problem. Visual inspection requires the cowling to be removed, and usually you will see the oil leak at the starter immediately. Fixing it requires new starter pinion oil seals, which are available from Skysport. If it is not leaking at the starter, I suggest a more comprehensive search, starting with cleaning the engine, use of some agent to make oil leaks visible, run it for a while (go for a short flight) and carefully check the entire engine afterwards.
Hope this helps.
