Hi Group,
I am writing today to ask for support in locating various technical data =
used for the certification of the Ercoupe/Aircoupe/Alon/ M10. Data from =
the original certification process in the US would be best, but any info =
will be helpful. Whereas I essentially need M-10 information, any input =
regarding aircraft from the Ercoupe family will be useful.
Background of the request is that I need to commence procedures to =
obtain a Japanese Certificate of Airworthiness for my Mooney M-10. This =
will essentially be based on the FAA (or rather CAA) Certificate of =
Airworthiness, but the Japanese Ministry of Transport needs supporting =
data in addition to the certificate itself. The authorities here have =
asked me to provide especially the following data/information:
1.) Any material describing the aircraft in technical terms, including =
the design concept and necessary drawings
2.) Certification Compliance Tables applicable to the airframe, the =
engine and the propeller;
3.) Documentation of tests of the structure, including load analysis or =
calculations to substantiate the strenght of the airframe as well as =
documents of an electrical load analysis.
Although I expect more requests, these are the major items necessary as =
of now. I will write to Univair separately, as I assume that the holder =
of the type certificate should have most, if not all, of those. However, =
as I know from experience with this great group, there are a number of =
Ercoupe specialists among you with great knowledge about this family of =
aircraft, who may at least be able to direct me to the right sources and =
publications, Univair or different. Also, if anybody of the members of =
the group had previous experience with a certification in a foreign =
country or re-certification process for the Ercoupe or any sibling, I =
would definitively be interested in talking to him/her.
Looking forward to hearing from you, and thanks in advance.
Sincerely
Stefan in Tokyo
