While getting ready to remove the main gear for overhaul, I noticed that about three inches above the knee joint at the rear of the upper leg, there is a small step cast into the leg. On top of this step is a 4" long spring that is fastened to the step. The other end of he spring bears against the bottom of the donut pack on the shock absorber. This spring is not shown in the Univair parts catalog. In the references that I have it shows a rubber block where the spring is located. Anyone else have this spring??? Coupe is serial #2620.
