Most, if not all the "how-to" questions asked by those who maintain their own 'coupes are answered by an expensive, but great publication "Light Plane Maintenance." I've been reading it for many years and highly recommend it.
Articles include complete technical discussions of how stuff works as well as step-by-step how-to-do-it. The editors answer user questions in the mag as well as via phone and email - I've used the service and it's really great to use it as a second opinion for potentially expensive repairs.
