I've got a static leak somewhere. At the convention this weekend, I was
pleased to get to handle a bare wing to see that the pitot and static
lines
come out at the trailing edge. Okay, a couple of questions....

1) Can you get at the connection at the trailing edge of the wing without
major surgery (i.e, by just removing the cover strip) or do I have to pull
the wing and/or aileron?

2) This aluminum tubing from the wing through the cockpit is lovely c.1940
technology, but mighty prone to stress cracks and leaks. Is it
possible/kosher
to replace everything from the wing on in with flexible plastic tubing?
