Do you mean it will not make 1800 TBO or do you mean without be topped?
My Alon has 1877TTSN had one cyl replaced in 1980? And I replaced one 4
or
5 years ago at 1614. That annual I replaced the other three. Just because
I
replace the first one. It broke an exhaust valve going in to Prescott AZ.
So
I am here to tell you that a C90 will make 1800+ My oil is metal free the
temps are good. I was going for 2000+ until we got our Mooney. Now I'll
replace the engine before we sell the Alon.
Oh, before I forget. Tach are set to run at a cruise RPM. Your Tomahawk
will not be calibrated correctly. Also tech turn left or right. they are
cheap and will be mark to your ever exc. (Red line) etc
And a Hobbs meter is easy to beat don't think because a Hobbs is
installed that, that is always true time. Most run on a pressure switch.
Most
if you turn off the master the time stops. You can run on the mags. So if
you
are out in uncontrolled air space you fly for free. A FBO operator showed
me
that. He was Dads friend. And I would fly his airplane for free. Well just
for fuel or an hours tech time.
