We have most drawings for rebuilding #4019 but perhaps somebody can settle a team arguement for me. We are remating the center section using all new fasteners. My recollection of the de-mate was that two bolts were inserted up and two down on either side of the fuselage. Half of the team thinks this is practical, the other half think it contravenes good practice. My view is that, in this particular circumstance, the bolt neither knows or cares which way is "up", as long as it's not mullered going in. Your collective advice would, as always, be much appreciated. Beer depends on it. Regards.
