I was in the same position you are in with my Alon. The prop was not acceptable for overhaul. It took several months for me to find a good prop, since new ones are no longer available. Fortunately the prop shop located a NEW prop that had been in storage for years. I got it for $1500. That included installation and balance. I have not heard of an STC for the 3-bladed prop for the Alon or the ERcoupe. Does anyone who purchased this plane? Is the prop legal? What would the requirements be to put a composite prop on an ercoupe legally? I just sent my prop (7150) in for overhaul and the shop says that they can not overhaul it because it is below tolerances, but that it is still airworthy. If I get any nicks in the prop I will be looking for replacement and am just checking around in advance to see what my options are. > > Thanks in Advance > > Steve Tindeland > Alon A2 > N5634F > > --------------------------------- > to unsubscribe send mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] > > ___________________________________________________________ > T O P I C A http://www.topica.com/t/17 > Newsletters, Tips and Discussions on Your Favorite Topics _______________________________________________________ Tired of slow Internet?
