Lynn, I don't think an STC i Conversiot to E models necessary foor conversion, as Ercoupe lists the changes needed to install the split elevator... Ercoupe Information Letter#1, Jam. 1, 1956. "Conversion of Ercoupes to Later Models" :"A Model 415CD can be converted to an E- mpoddel and achieve the 1400 pounds gross weight, and at the same time, improve the landing qualities instead of destroying them by the use of the "cut-out" or "Split" elevator." Goes on to say that the 85 HP engine is required, stainless steel firewall covering,, etc..., and flight manual for E Model. Be happy to send you a copy by fax..Send me a number...
