Title: RE: [COUPERS-TECH] How-to request: strut servicing

Greg

I went to the auto parts store and got a fluid pump (looks like a big metal hypodermic about 4 inc in diameter and 12 inches long) that is used to fill differentials and manual tranys.  I then put two sizes of clear hose on it, a larger hose that fit on the output of the pump then a smaller hose that fit INSIDE the larger hose.  This smaller hose fits inside the plug hole on the top end of the strut (Sorry this is all in the hangar or I would give dimensions).  Then place 20lb or 50lb cat litter (you can use sandbags but I can use the cat litter<g>) bags on the horiz stabalizer as show in the service manual to fully extend the front strut.  Remove the dipstick plug and add fluid to the lower mark on the dipstick.
