Thanks to all those who gave me information about putting a door in a
coupe.   
I have spoken with my PMI at the FSDO and he says no problem.  But what I 
have to do to make things really easy is find the person who holds that
one 
time only STC currently.  I will, with his help, research that tomorrow.
It 
sure is nice having a good FAA Inspector! 

So now I am looking at several coups.  Since I have been reading up on
them I 
am worried about the corrosion on the spars.  We are constantly doing 
corrosion x-rays on Gulfstreams and Hawkers.  So I am going to try
x-raying 
the spar on a coupe that I will be looking at next week.  I am not quite
sure 
how this will work yet.  Has anybody used NDT to check for corrosion?  I
read 
where corrosion can be present and not be visible.  Anybody have this?
