----[Please read http://ercoupers.com/disclaimer.htm before following any advice in this forum.]---- Saw this on the Luscombe group, and reminded me of my fuel valve adventures. Artie N2666H ____________________________________________________________________ I just got some stuff that was recommended by the Cub Club gurus for lubing fuel valves. Cub Fuel valves are even more notorious for freezing than are the pesky Luscombe valves. And the Cub folks don't have a Foundation getting approval for new valves... they must keep using their old ones. The stuff is called "EZ Turn Lubricant" from United-Eerie. It's silicone based... always a good thing ;)... and mil spec, etc. It smells awful... so I'm sure it's great stuff. I got it from Global Airparts online. About $20 for about 1lb. It's good for all kinds of stuff... fuel valves, oil valves, nuclear propulsion applications... really... says so right on the label. Might work as hair gel too. I'm still experimenting... Go to http://www.globalair.com/store/ and click on the "Airframe" header. It took a while to get the stuff shipped but Global Air was very responsive and went out of their way to follow through. Good people... Dan ==^================================================================
