----[Please read http://ercoupers.com/disclaimer.htm before following any advice in this forum.]---- The other day I had an engine stalling incident on applying full throttle on the takeoff roll. Although I had a little water in the strainer on my pre-flight, I was satisfied that there was none left in the gascolator. I always do a careful run-up, and didn't notice anything wrong. When I gave it throttle for takeoff, it sputtered at about 1500-1700 and then developed full power. I throttled out and went back to the ramp, where I was able to get an RPM drop around mid throttle, but full static RPM at full throttle. I also noticed that the carb heat seemed to produce a large drop of 300 RPM. My AP (by phone) says there is probably a slug of water in the carb bowl, and I should drain it, do a through static run up, and if the symptoms are all gone everything should be fine. I have the Marvel S carb. Any tips on opening the drain and making sure there's no water would be greatly appreciated. Artie N2666H ==^================================================================
