It does not matter what subject matter becomes a topic of discussion.
Whether it be religion, politics, police, schools, teachers etc., 
there will
exist in that group the good, the bad and the ugly. I need not address
religon, we have seen on 9-11 what these fanitics can do in the name 
of God
(or Allah). There are worthy Democrats, worthy Republicans and worthy
Independants. There are also prestine "Coupes", not so prestine 
"Coupes" and
"Coupes" that should NOT see the sky again unless they are COMPLETLY
reconstructed.
At times, I cannot understand the wrath some subscribers bestow on 
others on
this site. My mother would have washed out my mouth with soap and 
given me a
good thrashing with a switch I had to go cut myself if I did that. 
There is one legitimate complaint that the writer of the TRUTH should
consider. "Anyone who speaks the TRUTH should have no problem in 
standing
forward and identifying themselves." It does not matter if the others 
you
address do not belive you are truthful. The important thing is that 
YOU
believe what you say is truthful! Controversy is HEALTHY! It brings 
forth
solutions to problems. Throwing stones form hidden places will only
antagonize your opponent. That achieves NOTHING!
As for "corroded Coupes"- - -I also believe there are some out there. 
No, I
have not seen them flying, but I have seen some very poor examples of 
the
mark parked on airfields. In that respect, I would suggest that most 
of us
have seen these examples. However, that does NOT suggest that "Coupes" 
are
death traps, or accidents awaiting for some place to happen.
This site is offended that the FAA might group ALL our airplanes into 
a
catagory of "unworthy of flight". We would be far better serving ALL 
Coupe
owners if we could develop a list of AP/IA's that are THOROUGHLY 
familiar
and HONEST about our Annual inspections. If my mechanic found ANYTHING 
wrong
with my airplane that would EVEN REMOTELY affect its flight, HE would 
ground
the plane until it was repaired properly. 
Yes, all of us are aware that our airplanes are growing older every 
day.
Many are older than the pilots that fly them by a wide margin. Most of 
us
care for these airplanes to assure their flight safety, others may 
not. I do
not know of ANY regulation out there that government can make that can
assure 100 percent compliance. That is NOT obtainable! Why? because we 
all
know that there are people out there who will FORGE paperwork, do 
"paperwork
annuals" or simply "ignore" regulations. 
It is OUR responsibility to be vigiliant. Most of us are well aware 
that the
pilot is the FIRST one at the accident! Do NOT be afraid to come forth 
with
your cotroversial subject matter. Yes, there are some loose cannons on 
this
site, but they are EVERYWHERE in life. As a man (or woman)you must 
learn to
stand up and be counted in life, or you are no man (or woman) at all!
