Hello All, just finished the first annual on my Coupe. It has a C-90, we put a new Marvel Schebler Carb, new plugs, and timed the mags which were way too far advanced at 31 and 34 degrees, I believe the correct setting is 28 and 30. Anyway on my run-up at 1800 rpm I tested the left mag which dropped steadilly down to 1200 rpm before I put it back on both mags. The right mag dropped 200 rpm. I taxied back to the hangar , checked plugs and wires , found nothing , then fired it back up again and let it run several minutes before another run-up. this time the left mag would only drop 150 rpm and the right 75 rpm. I then taxied out to the run-up area where during my run-up this time the left mag dropped about 100 rpm and the right 75. I decided to do some touch and gos had no problems power was good ect. Before the annual the left mag would drop 80 to 100 and the right 50.. Any Ideas on the excessive mag drop after the annual????
