Okay, I just got Capers today, so I can make this announcement without stealing Skip's thunder: I have agreed to step into the rather large shoes vacated by Robert Swanson as Region 6 Ercoupe Owner's Club Director. Robert has sold his Ercoupe due to loss of medical. It is with deepest regret that I note his departure from the ranks of Coupers, as he gave us all a truly great gift in the form of the Y2K Coupe Homecoming in CGS. I have at once the honor and the sorrow of having College Park Airport (CGS) in my region. The honor because it is the home of the first Ercoupe factory. The sorrow because that field is still one of the ones closed by the Draconian policies of an administration that would trade Liberty for Security, and which thus deserves neither. If anyone in the DC, DE, MD, NJ, PA, and WV area is looking for an Ercoupe resource, please be in touch. I can be reached at this email address, or at home (908) 604-9577 or work (908) 713-1700. Later in the year, I hope to organize a regional fly-in at 'Flying W', in Lumberton, NJ.
