I have a trailer with a 12 volt gas station style pump/nozzle and a 55
gallon tank I got from northern hydraulics. I also added a secondary
filter.
It paid for itself rather quickly due to the price difference between
100LL
and autogas, plus fewer mechanical problems. The reason you see so many of
these older engines needing top end work is because 100 LL has 4 times the
lead than the engines were designed to use. They just don't get hot enough
to burn that lead out. I also use alcor tcp whenever I use 100LL. At my
airport the older planes that use 100LL without the additive have needed
valve jobs every 200-400 hours. I am going on 900. Many people say to
alternate with 1 tank of 100LL per 10 tanks of unleaded. Others say not to
bother. I find that cross country trips give me enough lead. The trailer
has
come in handy for use with my snowmobiles, tractor and other vehicles too.
