Hi. After giving it some thought, I think your Coupe does have a cabin
heat. It is probably  not hooked
up or so.
The previous owner of my Coupe reported similar things. He told me there
was no cabin heater in the
plane until he added the shroud over the exhaust pipe and the hose down to
the heater box.
Good thing is I can fly now up to -20 centigrade OAT without freezing to
an ice cube but in summer I
have to detach that hose because the heater box leaks the hot air into the
cabin.
If the original Ercoupe exhaust system is on that plane adding the heater
shroud and hose is a matter
of 30 minutes work.
If for some reason someone completely took out the heater box, than this
is a drag, because the heater
outlet into the airframe is normally located under the floorboards. A hard
to reach area.
So look for something on the lower firewall . You will see either the box
or a plate which closes the
hole for the box.
