Hi . I am flying the same combination. MCcauley (7152) and 85 hp but with a Stromberg. I get 5.5 GPH with full throttle and when leaning come down to 4.5 GPH. Like the book describes it. Since the Marvel Schebler Carb is not the Carburetor your engine came with originally, I would suspect a mistmatch of the jets. 7 GPH seems high, especially when already leaning.
