Hi !
Ok, I just got back from looking at the coupe I want to buy.
I took a magnet & checked top & bottom
of the top skin. The magnet is not attracted to it in any way so I
assume that it is aluminum. While I was at
it I checked the FIREWALL & guess what, It is also aluminum! Gentlemen,
what gives??!! I took the
magnet over to an Aeronca Champ also in the shop with a steel firewall &
the magnet sticks like glue!
If the FIREWALL isn't steel, what good is this top piece being
stainless? Can someone please go out to
their coupe & check with a magnet to see if this stainless piece that
they put in attracts a magnet? It should!
Is it possible for stainless steel to not attract a magnet?!!!
